أَىَّ مَحَلٍّ أَرْتَقِى أىّ عَظيمٍ أَتَّقِى
وَكُلُّ ما قدْ خَلَقَ اللهُ وما لم يَخْلُقِ
مُحْتَقَرٌ في هِمَّتى كَشَعْرَةٍ في مَفْرِقِى

To what station shall I ascend?
What severity shall I safeguard myself against?
For everything that God has created and that he has not created
is as contemptible in my high aiming ambition
as a single hair upon the crown of my head!
